Today track and field invests
in its future.
All across Switzerland this
early evening, young people will train with 40 stars of the Diamond League.
In
an admirably well-coordinated national event held in 7 locations - Basel,
Langenthal, Langnau, St. Gallen, Winterthur, Zug, and Zurich - Diamond League
luminaries will engage in sport-specific training with thousands of children
from across the country.
From Thomas Roehler (javelin,
Basel) to Ekaterina Stefanidi (pole vault, Langenthal) to Dalilah Muhammad
(400m hurdles, Langnau) and Marie-Josee Ta Lou (sprints, St. Gallen), from Evan
Jager (steeplechase, Winterthur) to Hellen Obiri (distances, Zug) and Genzebe
Dibaba (distances, Zurich), the stars will shine in the late afternoon sun.
