Today track and field invests in its future.

All across Switzerland this early evening, young people will train with 40 stars of the Diamond League.

In an admirably well-coordinated national event held in 7 locations - Basel, Langenthal, Langnau, St. Gallen, Winterthur, Zug, and Zurich - Diamond League luminaries will engage in sport-specific training with thousands of children from across the country.

From Thomas Roehler (javelin, Basel) to Ekaterina Stefanidi (pole vault, Langenthal) to Dalilah Muhammad (400m hurdles, Langnau) and Marie-Josee Ta Lou (sprints, St. Gallen), from Evan Jager (steeplechase, Winterthur) to Hellen Obiri (distances, Zug) and Genzebe Dibaba (distances, Zurich), the stars will shine in the late afternoon sun.

Update on Wednesday, 8/29.
As promised, here are several photos of the event in Letzigrund Stadium yesterday afternoon.
